Jill and Jack Race

Scheduled for August 10, 2024, the Jill and Jack Race is a Short Distance (SD) event intended to encourage the participation of women in the racing programme. The race will be run as a pursuit race and boats must skippered and helmed by a female. Only non-flying sails are permitted. 

This event is not a qualifying event for club awards and championship but there is a standalone trophy presented at Awards Night. An all female crew is a seperate prize category.

The race is 2 to 4 nm in length depending on the placement of the turn mark by the Race Committee.

The competitors briefing is scheduled for 0930 and the warning signal is scheduled for 1100. 

To compete, a boat must be registered and have a current PHRF-LO certificate. Temporary, club ratings can be assigned by the PRO upon request.
