Celebrating 60 years of the Whitby yacht club
                             (1966-2026)

On behalf of the members and the Board of Directors of The Whitby Yacht Club, we are honoured to announce that we will celebrate our 60th anniversary in 2026. Since our founding in 1966 by a dedicated group of community-minded residents, the club has grown to become the preeminent boating facility east of the GTA, a hub for water enthusiasts, and a cherished part of the Whitby community.

For six decades, The Whitby Yacht Club has fostered a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere on the shores of Lake Ontario, contributing to the region's rich maritime heritage. Our success is built on the passion and support of our members, staff, local businesses, and government partners. We are deeply grateful to those organizations that continue to support and collaborate with us. These ongoing efforts have been instrumental in our growth and achievements.

Our anniversary is not just a celebration of the past but also a testament to our ongoing commitment to the community of Whitby. We look forward to many more years of promoting boating, social events, and recreational activities for residents of Whitby, Durham Region, the governments of Ontario, Canada and beyond.
